Further details, such as the release date, platforms or official name remain a mystery. There may be more information at EVO 2023 from 4 to 6 August, especially since Dragon Ball FighterZ is part of the official line-up. The inclusion of Super Saiyan Blue could mean an adaptation of Dragon Ball Super storylines. Let’s check all the details in the trailer that was presented:
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi debuted in 2005 for PlayStation 2 and featured a roster of 64 fighters. Unlike Dragon Ball FighterZ, the perspective is from behind the characters, giving a 3D arena feel to the battles. Later titles also adapted storylines from the manga and anime. With 2007’s Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 being the last major title in the series, it will be interesting to see how the formula’s next title evolves.
