Let’s see together this month’s Eagle Pictures home video releases, including Oscars, expected adventures and great emotions
The wolf and the lion
It begins on May 5 with The Wolf and the Lion by Gilles de Maistre, available in DVD and Blu-ray formats. Gilles de Maistre returns to direct a new one, exciting adventure for the whole familyafter hitting the box office with Mia and the White Lion.
The production returns to film the natural growth of cubs, this time of wolves and lions over 15 months. At the center of the story is the young pianist Alma, who, during a walk in the woods, casually bumps into a wolf cub and a lion cub forming a indissoluble bond with them that not even the adverse fate can break.
How I Kill Your Bodyguard 2 – The hitman’s wife
Also from May 5 Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Raynolds and the iconic Salma Hayek return in a new and hilarious, increasingly action-packed chapter of How I Kill Your Bodygurad. The film is directed by Patrick Hughes and is released on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K.
Bodyguard Michael Bryce was vowed not to resort to violence anymore, but his good intentions go up in smoke when former killer Darius Kincaid and his wife Sonia manage to involve him in a mission to support an FBI agent intent on preventing a cyber attack organized by a vengeful and powerful criminal.
Uncharted
May 13 will be the turn of the highly anticipated adventure film Uncharted, directed by Ruben Fleischer. It is about the adventurous adaptation of the video game saga of the same name PlayStation Productions. The film will be available in DVD, Blu-ray, Combo (with double DVD + Blu-ray disc), 4K (containing both Blu-ray and 4K format) and a collectible Steelbook, always with the double Blu disc inside. -ray + 4K. The Blu-ray and 4k editions include tons of extra content, for a total of 45 minutes, with featurettes dedicated to the cast and backstage, as well as deleted and extended scenes, while all editions will contain unmissable collectible gadgets inspired by the film: There is a notepad in the DVD and Blu-ray format, a document holder and bookmark are included in the Combo edition, and both the 4K and 4K Steelbook editions will contain a notepad and bookmark.
In the film, Tom Holland temporarily takes off the role of Spiderman to wear those of the treasure hunter, Nathan Drake, and go on an adventure together with Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali and Antonio Banderas to give life to an origin story halfway between adventure, videogame and coming-of-age.
Coda – The signs of the heart
On May 25, however, it will be the turn of the winner of three Oscars, Coda – The signs of the heart freely inspired by the French success The Bélier family, available in a brand new edition full of extra content in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K formats. The products also include an exclusive 36-page booklet: the sign language manual.

Also available from May 25 with Eagle Pictures, Cyrano by acclaimed director Joe Wright, published in DVD and Blu-ray formats.
