The EA Sports FIFA 22 Challenge, sponsored by Adidas, was live streamed on Twitch, and foresaw several in-game rewards for viewers linking their Twitch and EA accounts, based on the time they spent watching the event. As for the matches of the tournament (which was ad direct elimination), the teams were formed as follows: for the team EA, we had Timo Werner (Chelsea) and SaNkHs (Case Esports), Adebayo Akinfenwa (Wycombe Wanderers) and Tom (Excel Esports), Diogo Jota (Liverpool) and Tekkz (Fnatic) and finally Layvin Kurzawa (Paris Saint-Germain) with Levi (Team Gullit). For the team Adidas instead, we had: Weston McKennie (Juventus) and RocKy (Team Vitality), Pedri González (FC Barcelona) and Gravesen (DUX Gaming), Ferran Torres (Manchester City) and Matias (Team Heretics) and finally Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea) along with Lisa (JLingz esports).
The knockout tournament ended with a rather overwhelming victory for the couple Tekkz and Diogo Jota, thus winning the title of winners of the first official FIFA 22 competition.
