In the past few hours, Electronic Arts has unveiled the FIFA 23 TOTY, the squad of eleven players who make up the team of the year: let’s find out together in this dedicated article
As for last year, fans of FIFA 23 (here our review!) They were able to vote to decide which is the team of the year of the Electronic Arts title. Better known as TOTY (Team of the Year), this award goes to underline what according to the players it is the ideal squad of eleven players, and which therefore includes the personalities judged to be the strongest of the moment. For example, this vote revealed that Kylian Mbappé received the highest percentage of votes among forwards, with his impressive 23%. Among the midfielders Kevin De Bruyne stands out with 21%. Dominates among defenders Achraf Hakimi with 15% and, among goalkeepers, Thibaut Courtois who takes first place with a resounding 56%.

As happened in previous years, fans will be asked to vote in the game also for their twelfth man, among those who, for a matter of very few percentage points, have failed to enter the TOTY squad. Voting will take place in FUT starting January 23, and the three nominees are:

Finally, for the first time, a section dedicated to great players of the past who would have been considered for an eventual TOTY. From this concept, Electronic Arts has given birth to the “TOTY Icons”, a series of special cards made up of 14 football legends and which also include two Italians, Alessandro Nesta and Andrea Pirlo.
