In this pizzeria he finds himself in need survive a group of animatronics. The director of the film, Emma Tammi, talked about the disturbing experience the crew had on set with the animatronics. The film’s director revealed that there were disturbing scenes on the set of Five Nights At Freddy’s. She told us what the animatronics were controlled by puppeteers, and each of them led a certain part of the body. Some controlled the jaw, some the eyes, some the arms and so on. Sometimes Emma would pass by the animatronics and they would make a sudden movement, so she would ask one of the puppeteers “was it you?”. The puppeteers responded in surprise with a “no” and to make matters worse they added “they just wanted to let us know that they are alive”. According to the director’s words, the animatronics were imperfect, but they caught their sudden movements for make scenes more realistic, since they actually seemed to be alive. They added that it was also fun to work that way. According to Emma, the characters they must have been scary at the right times, but also appear friendly with little girl Abby. That’s why they chose Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
The director also admitted that she would like to work again if the first film is successful, to make a sequel or even a saga. Chances are very high, in fact the first film was a huge success at the box office, which indicates that not making at least one sequel is practically impossible.
