In the past few hours, Square Enix has revealed the weight that Forspoken will have at launch on PS5, a rather large amount of data, it must be admitted, and it is one of those cases in which the preload will help
The launch of Forspoken, the new Square Enix IP developed by Luminous Productions which will arrive on PC and PS5 (exclusively on consoles) on January 24th is almost there. We told you about it in a tepid preview based on a demo that has held back the spirits of many, which you can find by clicking here, but Forspoken still remains one of the titles we look forward to the most in this first month of the gaming (and solar) year. What we could see in the preview, however, is that the game seems quite large and dotted with small side-quests (whose value will be better determined in the review), in an aesthetically satisfying world. All of this obviously has a “weight”.
And it’s just in the past few hours that the PlayStation Game Size account on Twitter has revealed the weight of the Square Enix game at launch, and honestly we weren’t very surprised. In fact, if you consider that the demo released some time ago already weighed 30GB (and corresponded to a generous portion of the map), it is not difficult to understand how the game may weigh 87,275 GB on PS5 at launch (therefore, without patch day one which surely will be there). To help gamers with a less performing connection there will be the preload, available from 22 January.

Square Enix Reveals Forspoken Weight On PS5, More Details For PC Version Coming Soon!
No details have been revealed of how much Forspoke will weigh on PC, nor the minimum and recommended system requirements. Everything will probably be detailed in the dedicated section tomorrow, January 17thWhen Square Enix will reveal new information about the PC version. Therefore, the weight of the PS5 version has also been revealed, we just have to wait for Forspoken with the strong hope of being wrong in the preview.
