Fujifilm announced the new one X100VIsixth generation of the acclaimed X100 series, combining iconic design and compact dimensions with exceptional image quality and advanced performance.
In short, the base – very solid – is always the same but let’s take a further step forward. Even in the price.
Fujifilm X100VI: features
The heart of Fujifilm X100VI is the new sensor X-Trans CMOS 5 HR da 40,2 megapixel, combined with the powerful image processor X-Processor 5 High Speed. The combination offers ultra-high resolution, impeccable sharpness and a rich tonal range, with ISO 125 now available as a native sensitivity.
For the first time in the X100 series, the X100VI integrates 5-axis internal image stabilization (IBIS) up to 6.0 stops. This allows you to shoot handheld at slower shutter speeds and in low light conditions, without sacrificing sharpness.
The iconic hybrid viewfinder Fujifilm instead offers the choice between a bright optical viewfinder and a detailed 3.69 million dot electronic viewfinder. Adding the feature ERF (Electronic Range Finder) allows you to display a small EVF inside the OVF, for precise focus and complete creative control.
X100VI include 20 film simulation modes, including the new “REALA ACE” which offers realistic tones and high contrast. The camera also delivers 6.2K/30P video recording and Frame.io connectivity for seamless workflow.
Made from aluminum with an anodized finish, the X100VI boasts excellent ergonomics and timeless elegance while the manual control dial and intuitive buttons guarantee precise and immediate control.
The accessories
The weather resistance of X100VI is guaranteed when the optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protection filter they are used in conjunction with the X100VI lens. This allows you to shoot even in difficult weather conditions.
In addition also the optional LH-X100 lens hood from Fujifilm, compatible with the new arrival: lightweight, precision made of machined metal and with a slit so as to shield the light effectively and at the same time not obstruct the field of view when looking through the viewfinder.
We have then two different types of optical converterswhich allow the user to change the focal length without changing the optical performance of the X100VI, thus expanding the field of use.
The LC-X100V genuine leather case available as an optional accessory gives the X100VI a luxurious look, with the memory card and battery that can be inserted and removed without removing the case.
Fujifilm X100VI: price and availability
The X100VI is available from February 20, 2024 at the recommended price of 1849,99 €. One version Limited Edition in a limited edition of 1,934 units it will be available at the price of 2249,99 €.
