Memory overclocking support for R-DIMM memory

Memory overclocking support for DDR5 R-DIMM memory is officially introduced with the Intel W790 platform. Allowing workstation systems to achieve higher memory speeds than R-DIMMs based on standard JEDEC specifications. Taking advantage of this new feature, G.SKILL’s Zeta R5 Series DDR5 R-DIMM memory kits feature Intel XMP 3.0 profiles for easy overclocking. Thus allowing users to get additional bandwidth and memory performance by simply enabling XMP in BIOS.

Details about G.SKILL’s new Zeta R5 memory kit series

Pushing the limits of performance on the latest Sapphire Rapids platform, G.SKILL’s R&D team has developed ultra-fast memory specifications. That is using 16GB DDR5 R-DIMM up to DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102 memory modules in 128GB (16GBx8) kit capacity configurations. With this memory kit on the 8-channel ASUS Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard and Intel Xeon W9-3495X processor, the memory bandwidth reaches great results. Like the astonishing 303GB/s read, 227GB/s write, and 257GB/s copy speeds in the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark. As can be seen from the screenshot below.

Memory bandwidth test results may vary depending on hardware configurations, BIOS versions, system settings, or test parameters. For workstations that require high memory capacity, G.SKILL Zeta R5 memory series also offers configurations with capacities of 32GBx8 kits for a total of 256GB. Reaching overclocked speeds up to DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96.

Demonstrating the bandwidth potential of DDR5-6800 overclocked R-DIMMs

Committed to developing the fastest possible memory, G.SKILL is also demonstrating the high bandwidth potential of overclocking R-DIMM to DDR5-6800 CL34-45-45-108 in 8 channels. This is on the ASUS Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard and an Intel Xeon W9-3495X processor. Achieving blazing 315GB/s read, 228GB/s write, and 262GB/s copy speeds in the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark. While DDR5-6800 memory isn’t a launch specification, it demonstrates the potential capabilities of the new Intel W790 platform.
