GTA San Andreas will soon land in VR thanks to a project from Rockstar Games and Oculus
Presto GTA San Andreas it will come out in a new guise VR: Rockstar Games has announced a collaboration with Oculus to take the popular title (first released in 2004) to a further level of player immersion in the world of GTA, also thanks to the technology of Oculus Quest 2. This fully virtual reality version of the game would be in development already since many years.
GTA San Andreas: not only in VR but also remastered
GTA San Andreas for VR was announced during the live broadcast of Facebook Connect 2021, where Mark Zuckerberg himself spoke about the new “metaverse” on which his company will be based from now on, thanks also to Oculus technology. The announcement of this new Rockstar Games title comes along with that of a collaboration between the manufacturer and rappers Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg for the soundtrack of an upcoming GTA and the release of the remastered version of the first three titles of the popular saga : GTA 3, Vice City and, precisely, San Andreas.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is described as the version definitive of the three games, with some improvements to the control system and above all to the graphics, which would be significantly improved: the lights, environment, reflections and shadows are sharper, there are updated models of vehicles and characters. Rockstar Games has also announced the arrival of some GTA titles on PlayStation Now (from 7 December) and on XboX Game Pass (from 11 November, to coincide with the release of the trilogy).
