Gundam Evolution: announced with a trailer the free-to-play shooter

Even the most iconic mecha ever enters the world of free-to-play shooters: here are details and trailers of the new Gundam Evolution

Fresh from trailer announcement, Gundam Evolution represents the entry of the Japanese franchise into the world of sparatutto free-to-play. To take care of it will be Bandai Namco, always a leading publisher for manga and anime, recently released into the open with the registered trademark of One Piece Odyssey. The newborn videogame adaptation, however, seems to bring back the historic mecha series with a new format, which already seems well prepared to break through in the West. Despite this promising premise, however, it seems that the location is still far from confirmed.

The trailer for Gundam Evolution, the free-to-play shooter you don’t expect

According to the post of the ever vigilant Nibel on Twitter, apparently the Japanese trailer for Gundam Evolution has omitted some details on the free-to-play shooter. First of all, for now the title is confirmed only for Japanese soil. In addition, matchmaking involves clashes between two teams of six players each: these specific requirements may or may not prove functional, depending on what emerges from the closed beta scheduled for August. The wait of a month, compared to day one, seems almost generous.

In fact, the game will not arrive before 2022. For us, the wait could even be longer, if we also count the timing of a (unfortunately still only possible) localization. Let’s just hope the premise generates enough interest to warrant an international release, or even console release. After all, after the place recognized to Gundam in the pantheon of popular culture with Ready Player One, the premises should not be lacking.
