In the past few hours, Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced the release date of season 2 of Halo Infinite, entitled Lone Wolves, with a new interesting trailer
Arrived last December to shake up the library of Microsoft exclusives shortly after Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite has been able to collect enthusiastic opinions from almost all fans, excited by the return of Master Chief with great fanfare. We told you about it in two separate reviews, one dedicated to the Campaign (found here) and one to the Multiplayer Mode (found here). A success that has faded due to the lack of some modes at launch, such as the cooperative and the Forge, the recent abandonment of the lead designer of the multiplayer component, the high costs of microtransactions and of the growing awareness of fans that yes, something is definitely starting to be missing. And it is precisely the multiplayer that we will deal with in this instance, as, in the past few hours, Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced the release date of Lone Wolves, season 2.
Release date as of today set for next May 3, as officially announced via the Xbox channels. Through the official Twitter profile of the title, in fact, with a post that you find below, the company has announced a lot of new content coming to Halo Infinite. New limited-time maps, modes, themed events and a new Battle Pass will be available in May. Considering that Lone Wolves was actually expected in early 2022, when Season 1 was extended instead, we can well understand that 343 Industries is very likely to find itself in a problematic state.

Halo Infinite: The second season of multiplayer, Lone Wolves, finally has a release date
Community Director Brian Jarrard recently responded to a Reddit user who expressed concern and said he hoped the team would at least acknowledge that there are ongoing problems. Problems that affect both the new and potential features of the game, and those already known, but not yet available (such as the aforementioned Forge and Co-Op). Jarrard replied like this:
There are actually many challenges and constraints and we are certainly not happy not to be able to meet the expectations of the players and the community. The situation is difficult and the team will need time to resolve it.
Difficulty aside, the release date for now set for season 2 of Halo Infinite, Lone Wolves, is today May 3 (subject to further postponements).
