iGame GeForce RTX 3090 KUDAN is truly amazing from its design to incredible performance
Colorful unveiled its flagship graphics card, theiGame GeForce RTX 3090 KUDAN, just a few weeks ago and the first samples have already been delivered to some selected reviewers. The KUDAN RTX 3090 is the most expensive Ampere gaming graphics card ever made with a well-priced retail price. $ 4999.99 and it also boasts the craziest design of all the custom variants on the market.
The most performing and most expensive graphics card you could ever buy!
The colorful iGame GeForce RTX 3090 KUDAN is high-end in every sense as the performance, power, pricing and cooling method are some of the most innovative you can find. As such, there are high expectations, but only when the product arrives in the hands of the 1000 lucky owners who are willing to shell out $ 5,000 for this insanely potent product will know if there’s any meat in the fire or it’s all smoke.
In terms of design, the Colorful features a CNC machined aluminum casing that features a black and silver aesthetic in a form factor a triple slot and triple fan. The coating features several gears that have previously also been used on the KUDAN RTX 2080 Ti and GTX 1080 Ti series. The card also has a display a LED side mounted which is also present on Colorful’s Vulcan-X series, but this is a more refined and improved-looking version.
The innovative cooling system
Colorful also features a hybrid cooling design, and the entrances lead to a 240 mm radiator. The radiator of the KUDAN iGame GeForce RTX 3090 includes the pump and has rigid sleeve tubes that are connected to the inlet / outlet on the board. An interesting feature is that the tube ports can be moved for ease of installation and to reduce tension when installing the board. Given the size of this huge peripheral, it’s a sizeable feature that will make many buyers happy. Again, the radiator is completely optional since the same air cooler features an exceptionally well built design, but for those looking for even better cooling, the radiator is present inside the package.
The heatsink is a large block with 6 different layers encompassing six 6mm high performance heat pipes and a brand new technology iGame Vacuum Copper Plate. All G6X DRAM modules on the KUDAN iGame GeForce RTX 3090 are directly covered by the copper plate, providing greater heat dissipation. The same goes for the backplate which incorporates an alloy design for one faster thermal conduction.
All the real raw power
The Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 3090 KUDAN is also equipped with a full coverage backplate and is powered by a triple 8-pin connector which allows for higher GPU power limits for overclocking enthusiasts. As far as clocks and power details go, the KUDAN iGame has a boost clock fino a 1860 MHz and has graphics power up to 500 W (420W by default).
Regarding the PCB, the board uses a solution a 26 stages (14 + 8 + 4) and the card itself is an overclocker’s paradise. As for performance, the card sees only marginal gains with the default configuration, but overall temperatures have dropped to as low as 15C thanks to the liquid cooler. The card does not pass the barrier of 55-60 °C while the air-cooled Vulcan-X GeForce RTX 3090 exceeds 65-70 ° C.
