Ficarra and Picone will be the protagonists, directors and screenwriters of Incastrati, a new Netflix original series which will start shooting in Palermo on April 26th.
Produced by Attilio De Razza for Tramp Limited, Stuck is the upcoming Italian series on Netflix that will see comedians Except Ficarra e Valentino Picone in the role of the protagonists, as well as those of screenwriters and directors.
A novelty for the dynamic duo, who for the first time will try their hand at an episodic production rather than a feature film.
Among the writers there are also the names of Fabrizio Testini, Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli, while Nicola Picone will play the role of producer.
Alongside Ficarra and Picone in their respective roles as Salvo and Valentino (as often happens in their films, once again the fictional characters they will play will carry the same roles as the actors), we will also find in the cast Marianna di Martino (Agata Scalia), Anna Favella (Ester), Tony Sperandeo (Tonino Macaluso), Maurizio Marchetti (Goalkeeper Martorana), Mary Cipolla (Mrs. Antoinette), Domenico Centamore (Don Lorenzo “Primo Sale”) e Sergio Friscia (Sergione).
Incastrati: the first series with Ficarra and Picone
Stuck will be a comedy of misunderstandings in six episodes and characterized by language and irony typical of the nice Sicilian couple consolidated for years.
The series will tell with great lightness and humor a criminal story, an excellent murder in which friends Salvo and Valentino will find themselves involved in spite of themselves. Trying to get away from the crime scene, the two will get more and more into trouble in a crescendo of events that will even lead them to have to deal with the mafia.
Filming of the series will begin in Palermo in a few days, on April 26, and will take place entirely in Sicily. Once finished, the post-production process will follow and Incastrati is expected to arrive on Netflix next year in 190 countries.
