The DownDetector site – which collects user reports on the main network disruptions – indicates a peak as far as Instagram is concerned around 4:00 pm. In reality, some reports date back to the morning, with a first peak around 11:00, and a second at 1:00.
The majority of users complain about the inability to upload content from their home, while only a small part experience access problems. The inefficiencies seem to concern both the mobile app and the desktop version of Meta's photographic social network.
It is worth pointing out that the problem does not appear to affect the entire country, but it seems to be localized only in some cities. A minor downturn, therefore, but still a disservice to thousands of Italians.
At the time of writing this article, again based on DownDetector data, the most affected cities would appear to be Milan, Rome, Naples, Turin and Bologna.
