Jungle Cruise: the new Disney live action from 30 July on Disney + with Vip access

Jungle Cruise, the new live action inspired by a famous attraction of the Walt Disney parks, will arrive in theaters on July 28 and 30 of the same month on Disney + with Vip access. In the cast, Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson

Among the various production companies, the Disney it was one of those to suffer a major blow due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of his films have in fact been postponed for almost a year, while others have been released directly on the streaming platform Disney+.

However, with the recent – and hopefully definitive – reopening of cinemas in Italy in April, the films with the highest budget have finally managed to make it to the cinema.

Jungle Cruise is one of them. The attracting cast and being an adventure potentially suitable for the whole family make it an ideal candidate for the room. And so, after Cruella and Black Widow, the live action with protagonists Emily Blunt e Dwayne Johnson was released on July 28, only to land on Disney + with Vip access on the 30th of the same month.

The live action is also inspired by a famous one attraction of theme parks of the production company, as indeed a film that gave rise to one of the most prolific and loved franchises of recent years, or the first chapter of the saga Pirates of the Caribbean. Who knows if Disney doesn’t hope, after all, to be able to replicate the success.

Jungle Cruise – Plot and trailer

The official synopsis of the film promises a great adventure:

20th century. Frank (Dwayne Johnson), captain of a small boat, is hired to accompany two British explorers, the scientist Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) and her brother McGregor (Jack Whitehall), into the depths of the wild Amazon jungle. The couple is looking for a mythical tree that possesses extraordinary healing properties: the Tree of Life. The discovery of the shrub could change the future of medicine and save the fate of humanity. However, the group will have to contend not only with the dangers that the jungle hides but also with another rival German expedition, ruthless and without any scruples.

So we just have to decide whether to enjoy Frank, Lily and McGregor’s trip on large or small screen and to find out if the film will be yet another Disney hit.
