Kawasaki has a long tradition when it comes to off-road motorcycles. Several motocross and supercross world titles attest to the quality of its products for fun and competition off paved roads. In this sense, the Japanese brand has just unveiled two new enduro models based on Kawasaki KX450 e KX250or the KX450X e KX250X.
Both models adopt “the usual” 4-stroke engine from 449 cm3, but Kawasaki has subjected the two newcomers to a series of changes to be able to face a discipline as tough as enduro. Eg, the final drive is shorter, while the engine has extra protection thanks to the skid plate.
The suspensions received specific adjustments for enduro and the wheels were replaced with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear. Additionally, the new Kawasaki KX450X and KX250X also benefit from a 240mm front disc brake, plus use-specific brake kit tuning and a specially designed kickstand.
Kawasaki KX450X and KX250X, the ERGO-FIT system is not missing
Also for these models Kawasaki offers the ERGO-FIT system, which thanks to the adjustable handlebar mounting system and footpegs allows motorcycles to adapt to a variety of different riders and riding styles. Renthal Fatbar 1-1 / 8 ″ handlebars feature four-way adjustable supports with 35mm of adjustment. The foot pegs are supplied with dual position mounting pointswith the lowest setting reducing the standard setting by another 5mm, reducing the knee angle when the bike is being ridden by taller riders.
It should be noted that the official Kawasaki dealer network offers interested parties the opportunity to request a homologation kit to register both models. This approval kit is manufactured by the KL specialist company.
Regarding the availability of KX450X e KX250Xthe Japanese brand indicates that they are available respectively at the price of 9,490 and 8,940 euros (excluding VAT, registration and putting on the road)
