LG enables cross-brand connectivity with the LG ThinQ Smart Home platform

LG Electronics presents the first commercial implementation of the HCA Specification 1.0 from the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA), aimed at promoting connectivity between multi-brand electronic devices through its proprietary platform Smart Home LG ThinQ. By the end of this year, in fact, users will be able to control appliances of different brands (such as Samsung and Vestel) from a single app, the intuitive and simple ThinQ. An implementation that will allow you to experience an interconnected, comfortable and increasingly intelligent home.

Smart Home LG ThinQ to monitor your home appliances

Guided by its strong commitment to customer experience innovation, LG has partnered with other brands to enable multi-brand compatibility in key markets around the world including South Korea, the United States and Europe. The partnership will initially concern the main appliance categories such as washing machines, dryers and dishwashers and will then gradually be extended to other types of appliances.

The widespread adoption of the HCA Specification 1.0 will allow you to monitor and control household appliances and multi-brand air conditioning solutions from a single device. With l’app ThinQ, users can simply register their compatible products and then enjoy the freedom, simplicity and time savings of managing them with a single application. For example, those who have an LG washing machine and a Samsung dishwasher at home will no longer have to go through each manufacturer’s app to set the preferred washing cycle.
