In a press release, Blizzard announced that it has added two new titles to its Arcade Collection, welcoming Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing
To celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary, Blizzard decided, last February, to create the Blizzard Arcade Collection. A sort of virtual back console, as Nintendo did too, dedicated to longtime fans who initially saw the arrival of three titles: Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing and Blackthorne. The idea has met with some success among retrogaming lovers, especially considering that the titles have been re-proposed in the “original” version with some adjustments to the quality of life, but above all in their “final edition”, with new content and localization in Italian too. Blizzard, however, does not seem to want to stop there.
Through a press release, in fact, the company announced that it has added two additional titles to its Arcade Collection: Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing. If you already own the Blizzard Arcade Collection, the patch that permanently adds the two titles is already available as a free update. In addition, the update also added some new functions and general improvements, which you can see well by accessing the museum section where you will find the gallery of design documents. Also added a new streamer mode for Rock N Roll Racing, which will allow you to show your gameplay in streaming with MIDI versions of the original songs.
Make room: Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing arrive in the Blizzard Arcade Collection!
Lost Vikings 2 is the sequel to the first chapter already present in the Arcade Collection and once again sees the heroes Erik, Baleog and Olaf being dragged away from home on a new adventure. You will have to overcome difficult puzzles that bring a breath of fresh air to the dynamics of the original game. Let’s talk about a prequel instead: RPM Racing is the previous Rock N Roll Racing title, the raw material let’s say. However, the basics are all there: Isometric perspective, different cars to choose from, the ability to make modular upgrades to the vehicle and much more.
Blizzard continues to expand its Arcade Collection, a whim for retrogaming fans, with Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing. What do you think of the company’s offer?
