Malignant: an 80s horror love letter

Far from the traditional horror of Van, the director wanted to try his hand at a product more projected towards making fun of spectatorial perception, without forgetting the countless horror quotes contained in them. A real love letter towards the 70s / 80s genre known by all.

In addition to his role as director, Wan has partly written the script together with Akela Cooper. The production was taken in the custody of Michael Clear, Eric McLeod, Judson Scott, Peter Luo, Cheng Yang, Mandy Yu and Lei Han as executive producers. The music is edited by the horror specialist Joseph Bishara, a name known in the horror scene as a composer of films Conjuring Universe or Insidious triology.
Currently scheduled for release in theaters is marked September 2, 2021.
