MG Motor, a brand reborn since it passed under Chinese control, had an exceptionally good March in terms of sales. The carmaker has set a new record in Europe, and sales figures for the first quarter are also more than positive.
Specifically MG Motor delivered 12,378 cars to Europe in March. This made it the best month ever, according to the car brand. For comparison, in March 2021, 5,109 cars sold, practically less than half of those delivered in the same month of this year. Looking at the first three months of 2022, the growth is evident: last year in Europe, MG Motors sold 8,580 cars in the first quarter, this year it delivered 22,135 cars.
Xinyu Liu, the new CEO of MG Motor Europe is very proud results in Europe. “MG is on the right track despite the challenges posed by the continuing shortage of microchips and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a great sales result for the car brand which has only been relaunched in continental Europe for just 2.5 years. I am happy that European customers appreciate our products. And we expect to grow further this month also thanks to the arrival of a new model in the MG Stores: the MG5 Electric, the first electric station wagon in the world ”.
Italy ranks second in Europe for MG Motor’s March sales
According to MG, the success of the brand is due to the fact that it presents itself as a smart choice in terms of price, equipment and technology. All without any compromise on quality and safety. MG is now present in 16 European countries including Italy. And in the Bel Paese it seems that the brand’s new cars are very popular: in March, it is second only to the United Kingdom. And seen to good results in continental Europe, during this year MG will expand its business also in Eastern and Central Europe.
