The Mojang Studios title knows no stops and continues to break records in the world of video games. Minecraft has in fact reached the extraordinary figure of 300 million copies sold worldwide.
This was announced by Helen Chiang, the manager of Mojang Studios (part of Xbox Game Studios), while streaming Minecraft Live 2023. Chiang expressed his pride in the game’s success, stating:
“As we approach our 15th anniversary, Minecraft remains the best-selling game of all time, with over 300 million copies sold, something no one could have dreamed of when we started building our first blocks.”

The number of 300 million copies sold is an astonishing achievement, surpassing the sales of almost all other works of entertainment. To get an idea of the scope of this result, just consider that Thriller di Michael Jacksonthe best-selling music album of all time, sold approx 70 million copies.
