Monolith: the plot and the trailer
While trying to save her career, a disgraced journalist begins to investigate a strange conspiracy theory. As she gets uncomfortably close to the truth, she is left to contend with the lies of her personal history.
This is the official plot of Monolith, which has little to do with what is shown in the trailer, namely the appearance of strange emails and objects that begin to produce disastrous consequences. Between horror and science fiction, in some ways the atmospheres told us about the livid and scary ones of j-horror. We hope to be able to see it and judge accordingly, also in Italian cinemas.
It’s not even a remake of the 2017 film, in which Sandra is a former pop star who fell in love, got pregnant and decided to sacrifice her career for her family. But success is not something you can easily leave behind, especially if your partner continues to frequent that world full of temptations. After a bad accident, she will have to review all her beliefs about the family relationship. A b-movie without too many pretensions which however got noticed, maintaining a certain audience following.
