During today’s Developer Roundtable of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakthe Producer of the Monster Hunter series, Ryozo Tsujimotoand the Director of Sunbreak, Yoshitake Suzukiallowed fans to take a closer look to the free bonus update arriving today, June 8, 2023 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The Roundtable was also joined by the Director of Monster Hunter Rise, Yasunori Ichinoseand together they fondly looked back over the last two years of Rise’s development.
The free bonus update features the upcoming final monster for the massive expansion, the Primal Malzeno, a number of changes to armor upgrades and decorations, and challenging new event quests due out until July 27th. It was also announced that all content from Title Updates 4, 5 and the free bonus update will arrive as a bundle for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 24, 2023.

The story of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak it was originally meant to end with the climactic confrontation of Kamura’s forces against Amatsu in the free update 5However, the free bonus update concludes the ancient relationship between the ancient dragon Malzeno and the kingdom.
