Monsters at Work, sequel series to the cult Pixar Monsters & Co, will debut on Disney Plus on July 7: the 10 episodes of the first season will be released weekly
In 2001 the Pixar Animation Studios releases its fourth feature film, definitively consecrating its success as an animation studio. By the way, here is the official link to subscribe to the platform for only 8.99 euros per month.
Monsters & Co, in fact, it immediately became a real cult, nominated for best animated film in the year in which the category was created. After toys and insects, Pixar decides to investigate the emotions and feelings of the most feared and bizarre creatures par excellence, the monsters. The adventures of Mike Wazowski e James P. “Sulley” Sullivan, heroes by chance of a peaceful revolution, are then expanded through a prequel – Monsters University, in which we discover the birth of their friendship at the time of the university to become scarers. For a long time, however, fans have wondered – without getting an answer – what happened to Mostropolis when it was discovered that the laughs of a child are more powerful than his fear.
After twenty years, Pixar has decided to answer this question: Monsters at Work, sequel series of the animated film, will in fact be set about six months after the events of the main film. The first episode of the series will be released on July 7 on Disney Plus, while the others nine episodes – of 22 minutes each – will be inserted weekly.
Monsters at Work: plot and previews
The protagonist of this new product will be Tylor Tuskmon, young and talented mechanic of the power plant that produces energy, who dreams of working alongside Mike and Sulley. Tylor, however, has not yet learned of the new rules and is still convinced that he has to scare the children. In choral cast, appear once again Billy Crystal e John Goodman, voice actors of Mike and Sulley respectively. To lend the voice to Tylor, however, we find Ben Feldman, co-star of Superstore.
Old and new characters alternate therefore in one of the flagship titles of the July Disney + catalog. An unmissable opportunity for longtime fans but also for new young spectators. The series will be available to anyone who subscribes to the service, at no additional cost.
