The bike, moreover, now it also features Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension.

The aluminum monocoque frame has been redesigned with the precise aim of offering a different steering angle (25.75 ° compared to the 24.5 ° of the Multistrada V4), not to mention that the geometry of the trail and the wheelbase have been redesigned. of the bike.

The new Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak also stands out for its specific ergonomics, specifically designed to ensure maximum control and optimize lean angles. Compared to the Multistrada V4, the driving position has been completely redesigned: for example, the footpegs are higher and rearward to increase the maximum lean angle, while the handlebar is lower and narrower and features curved bars.

A Pikes Peak setup is instantly recognizable by the 17-inch front wheel and single-sided swingarm. The racing spirit of the bike is enhanced by the special Pikes Peak livery, which is inspired by the Desmosedici GP ’21 in both colors and graphics. Added to this are also the race numbers on the sides of the tank help to underline the deep connection with the racing world.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak flies with the famous 170 HP V4 Granturismo

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is powered by the most powerful engine in its category, the acclaimed V4 Granturismo, with 170 HP with a maximum torque of 125 Nm at 8,750 rpm. This engine, specially designed by Ducati for the Multistrada V4 family, results in an extremely light engine – only 66.7 kg – and compact. Thanks to these characteristics, Ducati engineers have created an uncompromising balance with perfect centralization of the masses. With a displacement of 1160cc, the V4 Granturismo engine delivers class-leading power and torque. The engine has also been optimized to enhance the characteristics of the bike and features numerous innovations. One of these is the introduction of Race Riding Mode, an absolute novelty for the Multistrada models. The Race option has been added to a more race-oriented strategy for the limiter, which intervenes more gradually than the Multistrada V4, to warn the motorcyclist in advance and allow him to ride sportier in terms of shifting inside the high end of the tachometer. Quick Shift also has a special strategy that allows for extremely aggressive downshifts, as well as the implementation of an even more direct throttle response in High Power mode.

Ducati supplies the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with a wide range of carbon parts in addition to the Akrapovič exhaust in titanium and carbon (homologated for the road). Other elements are the low rear window in smoked Plexiglas, the gold anodized Öhlins fork legs, the back of the two-tone Black and Red saddle with the V4 logo and the Ducati Corse emblem applied on the front.

The braking system of the new V4 Pikes Peak is at the top of the segment and is directly derived from that of the Panigale V4. At the front, the system includes 330 mm diameter discs and Brembo Stylema monobloc brake calipers, similar to the Multistrada V4 S, to which the brake pads of the Panigale V4 have been added. At the rear, the system features a single 265 mm diameter disc and a Brembo floating caliper.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak features the latest generation and advanced electronics package of the Multistrada V4 S, which includes standard front and rear radar technology, offering functionality Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) e Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

The 6.5-inch TFT dashboard, also available as standard on the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, allows you to view navigation thanks to the advanced system Ducati Connect, which allows you to connect the rider’s smartphone.

The electronic innovations are, also in this case, aimed at obtaining a better sport driving experience. In addition to the introduction of Race Riding Mode, the Ducati Wheelie Control on the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak has an updated strategy that offers even better response and more accurate control while driving- ABS Cornering is also configured to operate safely in any driving situation, even the sportiest.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak will be available from next December starting from 28,990 euros.
