My Hero Academia reveals the 1-A traitor

The latest issue of My Hero Academia, after years of fan theories (partly spot on), finally reveals the villain spy within class 1-A: laser user Yuuga Aoyama

The fear that there was a spy inside the UA Academy had already been expressed by the professors for some time. In the last two chapters of My Hero Academia, finally the All for One reveals its hidden piece inside 1-A. It is about Yuuga Aoyama, with the hero name Shining Hero: Can’t Stop Twinkling.

In chapter 336, as always available on MangaPlus, we are shown Aoyama’s parents. They joined their son at school, in a dead corner of the security systems. We thus discover that it was they who made a pact with the All for One, and not Aoyama.

The sparkling hero, in fact, was born without quirks, just like Midoriya. While the latter received the One for All, the Aoyama asked for help from his mortal enemy. In this way, Yuuga could have lived a “normal” life.

But, as you can imagine, the Aoyamas have since been blackmailed by the villain. Young Yuuga was forced to pass vital information from the very beginning of school.

Now, Midoriya has discovered the truth, and, as the Aoyamas are the involuntary victims of the All for One, she must decide what to do.

My Hero Academia reveals the 1-A traitor

The double twist that winks at the fans of My Hero Academia

the sensei Horikoshi seems to have recognized the fan theories that have been circulating in recent years about the identity of the traitor.

Indeed, in chapter 335, he concludes the last table with an image of Hagakure, believed by many to be the spy. Theories focused on Hagakure passing the entrance exam despite not exhibiting any particular skills. Also, his quirk befits an espionage character.

Instead, apparently Hagakure was just a witness to Aoyama’s betrayal, and she’s the one who goes to report it to Midoriya. Once again, Deku will find himself faced with enemies who act against their will, as it was for Lady Nagant.

It must be said that Aoyama was also indicated by many as a possible traitor to the heroes, so, this time, the fans took us. But will it really be over? Is there only one traitor in the UA, or is the Aoyama exhibit all an elaborate All for One scheme? We will find out soon, as the work gets closer and closer to its ending.
