Here comes the first Battle Royale inspired by the famous manga and anime My Hero Academia

Bandai Namco unveiled today My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble, a battle royale dedicated to the famous anime and manga created from the pencils of Kohei Horikoshi. The game will be free-to-play and is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The game will support a maximum of 24 players per game, and as usual for this kind of titles it will go on until there is only one player or team of up to three people left on the field. The gameplay has already been shown in a promotional trailer.

Apparently Bandai Namco seems to want to focus more and more on multiplayer titles inspired by the most famous formulas of recent times in the world of video games. After the announcement of Dragon Ball: The Breakers, an unusual multiplayer set in the world created by Akira Toriyama with a gameplay inspired by Dead by Daylight, now it’s the turn of My Hero Academia which turns into a battle royale for the occasion in which 24 players will compete using the characters of the famous animated series.

The players will be divided into teams of three and will be able to use theirs Quirk to fight. By finding some skill cards scattered around the map, it will be possible to increase the power of your special powers, so as to eliminate opponents more easily. Depending on whether you will select a Hero or a Villain the objectives will change and you will have to either protect or attack the ordinary citizens scattered around the map. A closed beta has been announced on PS4 since 2 to 6 February, although for the moment it looks like it will only be available in Japan.
