A well-known personality from the world of videogame information has spoken of a potential remake of Ninja Gaiden by PlatinumGames
It’s been quite a while since the release of a new mainline chapter of the action series Ninja Gaiden, and the fact that the last one, namely Ninja Gaiden 3 of 2012, has not proved to be particularly noteworthy has made things even worse for fans of the saga. Recently, however, there have been several rumors about it, with Team Ninja confirming the development of a remake for both Ninja Gaiden that of Dead or Alive, but now it would also seem possible a remake from PlatinumGames. Many have wondered how Team Ninja is handling work with so many IPs already in play, including Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty e Rise of the Ronin of 2024. Apparently, this could be due to the fact that the Japanese developer is outsourcing some of its projects to third-party studios.

This is at least what the co-founder of XboxEra claims Nick Bakerwho recently reported on Twitter, after the aforementioned reveal of the two reboots by Team Ninja, that the remake of Ninja Gaiden would be in development at PlatinumGamesthe studio best known for titles like BayonettaVanquish, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, NieR: Automata and others.
PlatinumGames has a long and prestigious repertoire studded with numerous action games, so it wouldn’t sound too improbable. It is also interesting to note that earlier this year, in an interview with VGC, Team Ninja declared that it would be willing to entrust a new Ninja Gaiden title to one third party study. Of course, the news is far from officially confirmed, but the shared hope is that Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo will be back to talk about Ryu Hayabusa in the near future.
