Through a press release, Blizzard announced some Overwatch-themed news, including the fact that Cassidy’s New Recruits challenge is available
Recently, Blizzard found itself forced to postpone both Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, another bad news after the departure of the director of the series a while ago. Despite the development updates arrive quite constantly, in short, the company seems to be in difficulty especially with regard to the sequel of its hero shooter par excellence. The first chapter, on the other hand, it seems to continue on a special and parallel track, with lots of new content always on the way and tasty news also regarding other entertainment media. News that Blizzard has disclosed with us, through a press release, first announcing that Cassidy’s New Recruits challenge is available, but not only.
In fact, Blizzard Entertainment has teamed up with Dark Horse for a new comic series that follows in the footsteps of everyone’s favorite gunslinger as he tries to recruit heroes, called Overwatch: New Recruits. Already available for purchase, the series was written by acclaimed author Ray Fawkes and illustrated by artist Irene Koh. As for the new challenge available in Overwatch, the development team has also shared a trailer that we leave you below.
Overwatch: new comic and Cassidy’s New Recruits challenge
Cassidy’s New Recruits Challenge is now available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, until November 23rd. During the event, you will be able to earn limited-time rewards, including an icon, sprays and the new epic model Cassidy Sandstorm, for a total of nine rewards. Specifically, by winning in Quick Match, Competitive Match or Arcade you can get:
- Play 9 games: Icon
- Play 18 games: Spray
- Play 27 games: Cassidy Sandstorm (epic model).
Instead, by tuning into Twitch streaming channels that are committed to broadcast Overwatch before, during or after matches, you can unlock more content:
- Watch for 2 hours: 1 spray
- Watch for another 2 hours: 2 sprays
- Watch for another 3 hours: 3 sprays
