Peter Pan & Wendy is the newest live action from Disney. Let’s discover together the first images and the protagonists who appeared in a short teaser
After Aladdin, Mulan and Pinocchio (just to name a few), another Disney classic is about to become a film starring real-life actors. It’s about Peter Panwhich in 2023 will add to the long list of animated classics revived in recent years. The new film, a remake of the 1953 blockbuster, will be titled Peter Pan & Wendy and will be available to stream. Meanwhile Disney has already shown a very brief preview of what awaits us, through a video of a few seconds.

The new promotional film, made by Disney to present all the new releases of 2023, lasts just over 30 seconds. Among the most anticipated titles, such as The Mandalorian, Loki and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, another interesting title appears: Peter Pan & Wendy. This already suggests that it is a film about the cute little boy who didn’t want to grow up and his friend Wendy. For now there isn’t much news, but one thing is certain, with this new film we will be catapulted back to Neverland, together with all its nice characters.
In the very short video we get to know this new Peter Pan, Wendy and her two little brothers who appear really surprised to see Peter. We then get a little glimpse of Captain Hook’s pirate ship, where Wendy is grappling with a fight.

From the footage, we find out that in this new film Peter Pan will be played by Alexander Molony, known for having lent his voice in some animated films; by his side Ever Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, 2016) as Wendy. Prominent names such as Jude Law who will play Captain Hook, while Jim Gaffigan it will be Sponge. Last, but not least, Yara Shahidi who will play the role of little Tinkerbell.
The film is directed by David Lowery, who also took part in the project as co-writer; by his side Toby Halbrooks. Filming, which took place primarily in Canada, concluded in 2021; a long time if you think that the film was already in the pipeline since 2016. In the meantime, other live action have been announced, in addition to the much talked about Little Mermaid, it would seem there are plans for remakes concerning Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The sword in the stone, The Aristocats, Bambi and Lilo & Stitch.
