Packaging and build quality | Poco X6 review

The Poco X6 comes in a sales package that is as simple as it is complete. Inside there are a 67W fast charger, a USB-C cable, the usual instruction manuals and even a much appreciated silicone cover. The smartphone is entirely made of plastic, however, in the opinion of the writer, this is nothing more than a point in favor; given the high resistance and lightness (we are talking about only 181g), naturally the certification against water and dust stops at the standard IP54. The power buttons are solid and don't show any instability.

The design of the smartphone does not offer any standout elements, but it is still pleasing to the eye. It's a shame, however, that the back cover tends to bunch up lots of dust, especially around the cameras (you can clearly see it in the gallery below). In any case, even from the front the smartphone turns out to be well optimized, with almost symmetrical frames and not very intrusive.

Hardware and Display | Poco X6 review

But this is where the best comes. Poco X6 brings with it unexpectedly high-end hardware: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G, with Adreno GPU, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of ROM memory. In short, what else could you ask for in this price range? Actually there's more: accurate haptic feedback, a display SuperAMOLED da 120Hzhigh-quality stereo speakers, in addition to the IR blaster and the evergreen 3.5mm jack.

The brightness reaches adequate levels, with an automatic peak that super i 1000 nits, ideal for visibility in direct sunlight. The display then offers different color calibrations, the option to force the refresh rate and theAlways On Display. In daily use, the smartphone is responsive and it does not overheat, although slight slowdowns may occur, which could however depend on the rather heavy software.

Cameras | Poco X6 review

The photographic sector of this smartphone is the only thing in line with the reference price range: fair but not exceptional. Posteriorly we find a main da 64 MP with optical stabilizer (OIS), an 8 MP ultra wide angle and an, unfortunately useless, 2 MP macro. On the front there is a 16 MP sensor, of good quality.

The shots with the main camera are very respectable, even in poor light conditions. However, the device shows shortcomings in color reproduction, tending towards one excessive saturation, especially with the ultra wide angle. Nothing to say for the 2 MP Macro, you will hardly find yourself using it, it is just there to make up the numbers. A word about videos, well stabilized and fairly detailed, OIS comes in very handy here. Finally, below, a selection of shots taken with the different sensors.

Software and autonomy | Poco X6 review

Poco X6 carries with be a stable software and cared for. The basis is the MIUI 14, however it can be updated to the latest version of the renowned one HyperOS. The resulting experience is of an excellent level, the new software in fact features many small precautions; among these the massive use of tactile feedback for most day-to-day operations, a seemingly silly detail but one that, combined with the great hardware, ensures a top-notch user experience. There are several extra customizations, especially on the lock screen, and new ones unique animations (like that of charging).

The autonomy, unexpectedly, is the thing that surprised us the least. With well 5100 mAh we would have expected much more, but instead, we arrive at end the day but difficult to go further (naturally this is a personal judgment that varies depending on use). In any case, when you need to recharge, the 67W power supply allows us to bring the device from 0 to 100% in less than an hour.

Conclusions and price

Poco X6 is, at the moment, one among the best devices on the market. For just €299.90 on the official website, you can take home a real all-rounder with extreme performance, stereo audio and quality display. It is a device for everyone and so is the price, we can only recommend it! Before saying goodbye, we invite you to follow the mobile section of techgameworld.com for further news and video reviews.
