Via press release, The Pokémon Company has announced the new campaign to celebrate the annual Pokémon Day: let’s discover “Pokémon Together”
Despite the controversies surrounding the annual Pokémon titles (successful with Sword and Shield, Arceus and Scarlet and Violet without distinction) due to their now obvious backwardness from a technical and graphic point of view, it’s undeniable how much turnover the Nintendo-exclusive Game Freak franchise still makes. And this is the most nostalgic period for all fans. On February 27, 1996, the first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, were released in Japan and introduced players to the concept of battling and trading Pokémon by connecting their Gameboy devices. This event marked the beginning of what would become one of the world’s most beloved entertainment franchises, with a worldwide community of fans known as “Trainers”. Since then, every February 27th, Trainers from all over the world they come together to celebrate their love for the brand, better known as Pokémon Day. This year, The Pokémon Company International celebrates the original and robust spirit of connectivity that began with the first games, inviting Trainers to “Pokémon Together” throughout 2023.
Today, a trailer was launched illustrating the concept of the program and which you can find below, in the middle of the article. To kick off the “Pokémon Together” campaign, The Pokémon Company International Invites Trainers to “Celebrate Pokémon Together”. Starting today, fans around the world are invited to post photos and videos on social media showing their love for the franchise, sharing their favorite memories. Posts tagged with #PokemonTogether will have a chance to be aggregated into a mosaic in the style of the iconic Poké Ball that will be unveiled on Pokémon Day. The official @PokemonIT social media channels will also host content related to companion products from members of the worldwide community of fans, to inspire Trainers to submit their stories, and to showcase what Pokémon means to so many around the world.
