Prime Video and Sony Pictures Strengthen Their Partnership with Live-Action Spider-Man Noir Series: What We Know About the Project
An indiscretion on Twitter launched the news, then the confirmation literally sent fans into raptures. Prime Video and Sony Pictures will create a live action TV series on Spider-Man Noir, the famous variant of the web-shooter, set in a peculiar hard-boiled atmosphere and with a top-level comic book tradition behind it. As mentioned, the indiscretion of a TV series on Spider-Man Noir had first made its way on Twitter, then the confirmation of Cristopher Miller, who always confirmed the news on social media. In short, Sony Pictures and Prime Video are working to significantly expand the spider-verse, which is experiencing some difficulties in the cinema with the not very convincing films about Morbius and Venom, but which confirms that it has enormous potential. Silk and Spider-Man Noir should therefore be at the center of the Sony TV series on Prime Video, pending further details on the projects.
Spider-Man Noir: what we know about the series on Prime Video
At the moment, very few details are known about Amazon’s project. To illustrate some details is Variety, which tells how the project is in the hands of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the team that created the beloved Spider-Man: Into a New Universe. The project, therefore, will start from there, clearly developing other forms, but maintaining an important link with that founding work for the spider-verse. The script of the series, however, should be in the hands of Oren Uziel.
Very few details, however, as regards the plot. The story should have dropped into the 1930s New York and be about a character other than Peter Parker. For the rest, we can only imagine that the series will take its cue from some famous arc, such as Eyes without a face by David Hine and Fabrice Sapolski and Margaret Stohl’s Twilight in Babylon, or follow the main streets drawing on the first stories written by Hine. All a mystery for now, but surely the good news is that the series will happen.
In addition to Spider-Man Noir, Silk will also star in a series on Prime Video: do not miss any updates.
