Packaging and Design – Proscenic P12 Review

The vacuum cleaner comes in one fairly compact package. Despite everything, all the various components find their perfect place inside, which are positioned so that there are no accidental impacts during transport. Once the box is opened, therefore, we will find ourselves face to face with the completely disassembled vacuum cleaner; however, assembling it will be child’s play.

Although there are instructions in the handy user manual, setting it up is really easy. Time two minutes and we will be able to clean the house immediately. The The P12’s design is completely revolutionary compared to that of its predecessors and you can understand it with a single glance. We will immediately notice that the arrangement of the motor and the dust container has changed.

If in previous models these were arranged vertically with respect to the floor, now they will be in a horizontal position, going to rebalance the center of gravity of the vacuum cleaner; this then turns into greater maneuverability of the same. On top of these we find a comfortable LED screen which indicates the battery charge level, the level of suction and, if necessary, also the filling of the dust container.

The design in general is a lot similar to that of other products, but still remains quite elegant and makes this vacuum cleaner adaptable to many types of furniture. It can also be placed in the special base to be fixed to the wall, but however, it remains in equilibrium even without the latter.

Great power, but more than half life – Proscenic P12 review

One of the main strengths on which the P12 engineers wanted to push is certainly the suction power of the brushless motor. This indeed comes to a maximum power of 33 kPa which combined with the motorized roller brush is able to suck up even the most stubborn dirt. Such a feature makes it also great for cleaning carpetsa real trap of hair and dirt in general that many vacuum cleaners are unable to remove.

Such a large amount of suction, however, automatically generates repercussions not exactly pleasant for the user. The first concerns of course the increase in noisewhile the second goes to affect battery life. But let’s go in order and take it one step at a time.

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with well four suction powers, all of which can be activated from the LED screen using the appropriate key. There will therefore not be two keys to increase or decrease the power, but only one that will cycle the four levels. Although this is a acceptable choice, we don’t understand why the engineers decided to do it automatically switch on the vacuum cleaner from the second level. This will force us to switch between the most powerful ones before we get to the lowest and quietest of the four.

You will understand very well that this turns not only into an increase in noise, but also into a totally useless battery consumption. Own the latter is in fact the main problem of the P12. While the company’s claimed duration is an hour, we’ve never gotten there; at most we have nearly 55 minutes at minimum power. As you level up, time is running out until you reach approx 13 minutes at maximum power.

The attested charging of 2.5 hours is also incorrect, as in our experience we we went over 3 hours. You will therefore understand very well that using a vacuum cleaner for less than an hour and then waiting a long time it’s not very convenientespecially if you live in large houses and have little time to devote to cleaning.

Wide maneuverability, different uses and an unrivaled brush – Proscenic P12 review

Although therefore there are some rather negative notes, this electric broom still managed to amaze us. The raised center of gravity and the highly orientable brush joints make it very manoeuvrable, making us reach even the most complicated places. The large movement also guarantees the possibility of forming an angle of 180° between the tube and the brush, allowing us to always keep the latter glued to the floor.

The main feature of this accessory is the rotating brush that collects dirt flawlessly. His anti-tangle structure with a soft V-shaped bristle, combined with other features such as the internal comb and groove to lift the hair, will make almost impossible to form tangles that go to clog the electric broom.

The vacuum tube, which we talked about a little earlier, is also height adjustable; in this way, each user who will use the vacuum cleaner will be able to adjust it in order to have greater comfort. This feature, combined with the slit head o alla 2-in-1 dusting brush, will allow us to reach any point that needs a good cleaning. Whether it’s the sofa, a curtain or simply a corner that cannot be reached with the normal floor cleaning brush, all you have to do is install one of these accessories and go.

The real change compared to previous models is the introduction of the green Vertect light. In fact, they find a good place in the front part of the brush six small LEDs able to emit a green light every time we turn on the vacuum cleaner with this head connected. This light serves to make visible even the dirt that we will not notice with the naked eye.

Conclusions

We have now reached the end of this review regarding the Proscenic P12 vacuum cleaner and it is therefore time to sum up a bit. With high handlingthis vacuum cleaner introduces itself powerful and easy to clean. The 1.5 liter dust tank turns out to be quite voluminous and, once detached from the main body, also easy to clean. All you have to do is press the button to open it and give it two taps to drop it.

Thanks to the other accessories, it will also be possible to clean even the narrowest spaces or remove hair and crumbs from our sofa. With the new system of green LEDs placed on the brush we will instead go to see also dirtInvisible“, so as to easily remove every speck of dust on the floor.

So much power however turns into one much shorter battery life as stated, especially at the top levels. Charging also leaves something to be desired, forcing us to long waits of over 3 hours before you can use it again to clean another half hour. Surely therefore this electric broom is not recommended for those who have a large house, for which it would take a long time to clean every corner.

Despite this fairly significant issue, the rest of our experience went smoothly. The P12 allowed us to clean the house perfectly even from dog hair, without the latter being too frightened at low levels. Different speech instead when we put it to the maximum, even if compared to other competitors it can be considered more silent.

That’s all for this Proscenic P12 review. We remind you that it is available for purchase at recommended price of 199 €. In order not to miss further reviews regarding the electronic and technological universe, continue to follow techgameworld.com!
