The Bridgerton universe is about to expand with the arrival of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Storyout on Netflix on 4 maggio 2023. The series will explore Queen Charlotte’s rise to power, from her marriage to King George to the rise of Bridgerton high society. After the huge success of the Shondaland series, this spin-off marks the official expansion of the universe connected to Bridgerton, destined to expand even more in the coming years. Queen Charlotte: plot and cast of the Bridgerton spin-off
As mentioned, this highly anticipated spin-off of Bridgerton will explore the past of one of the most beloved characters of the mother series, or Queen Carlotta, played by India Ria Amarteifio, a young actress we have already seen in Evermoor and The Interceptor, and by Golda Rosheuvel in her adult version, with the actress returning after her experiences in Bridgerton. We will know the Queen’s past, how she grew up and how she came to become the highest representative and holder of power in the rich and prestigious society of Bridgerton.
Alongside the two actresses who have the task of embodying Queen Carlotta we find, in cast of the Bridgerton spin-off, also Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury, Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Michelle Fairley as Princess Augusta and Corey Mylchreest as King George. Rounding out the cast of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story are Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Karim, Rom Maloney, Cyril Nei and Hugh Sachs.
