Range Rover Sport 2023 luxury and electrified SUV

Land Rover has officially unveiled the new Range Rover Sport 2023 SUV which presents itself, compared to its predecessor, with a complete update in all respects.

Starting with the design, Range Rover Sport 2023 still uses Land Rover’s familiar chassis, but has a more modern, clean and defined style. Some elements of the Range Rover launched last year have been reused along with a couple of touches from the Evoque, like the slim headlights or the well hidden door handles.

The biggest difference between Range Rover Sport 2023 and the two models mentioned above is the size, and partly the rear area. The new model places both the lights and the Range Rover emblem in the same horizontal stripe that runs parallel to the edges of the windows.

Range Rover Sport 2023, 5 star interior

Redirecting into the cockpit of the Range Rover Sport 2023, it is not surprising that the general layout of this version is not very different from that of the Range Rover 2022. Customers can distinguish the 2 cars only thanks to the screen and the center console which in this case has a greater inclination.

Otherwise, the equipment of the Range Rover Sport 2023 is hard to fault, with a number of first-rate elements. Among these stand out the massage seats adjustable in 22 directions, advanced air filtration system, 29 Meridian 1,430 W speakers. In addition, the 13.7-inch digital dashboard alongside a 13.1-inch curved central screen can count on the Amazon Alexa virtual assistant.

While the car’s interior and exterior don’t have too many surprises, Range Rover Sport 2023 uses a completely new underframe (MLA-Flex) in place of the old one. This allows you to slightly increase the pitch 54 mm and 2.977 mm. All to the benefit of the space available in the rear seats.

In addition, this platform also supports electrified propulsion systems, thus opening the door to the launch of an all-electric version scheduled for 2024.

Electrified range but there is also a version with the powerful V8 Twin Turbo

Starting with more traditional engines, Land Rover has confirmed that the 2023 Range Rover Sport has removed the old 4-cylinder engine. On the other hand, there are petrol / diesel versions with 6 cylinders in line. The most powerful model features a V8 engine. The default transmission for all configurations is the 8-speed ZF automatic and the transmission is only available on 2-wheel drive.

Currently, the range of engines for Italy offers three options. Part of the new P510e PHEV which offers impressive efficiency and over 100km of zero-emission EV range. It combines the 3.0-liter six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with a 105 kW electric motor and a 38.2 kWh battery, with a total output of 510 hp.

Range Rover Sport is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km / h in just 5.4 seconds. The autonomy in EV mode which can reach up to 113 km. In normal daily driving, the estimated range drops to 88 km. There are 740 km of combined autonomy between that of the petrol and electric engine.

A version is also available P440e PHEV, which produces a total of 440 hp, with the same range and CO2 emissions data. Also this model is characterized by an acceleration of only 5.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h.

There is also a version with the exciting V8 Twin Turbo with 530 hp that accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds with Dynamic Launch on.

On the road or off-road, always with maximum driving pleasure

To ensure that the SUV is capable of versatile operation on as many off-road surfaces, without compromising the occupant experience inside, Land Rover has equipped it with a 2-chamber air fork, rear axle steering technology, active electronic differential and above all the off-road system Cruise Control. This allows the driver, on uneven surfaces, to set the desired speed and comfort level from four available settings. It is the first Land Rover to feature this device, enhancing the range’s off-road performance.

Finally, the Terrain Response 2 which automatically detects the surface and the terrain to adapt the car to best face the situation. The data is offered to the driver via the Pivi Pro touchscreen. It works in conjunction with dynamic control systems.

The new Range Rover Sport is already available for order, with prices starting from 95.300 euro.
