On February 18, Renault offered us a first preview of a hydrogen-powered prototype, an “unprecedented” vehicle as defined by the French brand itself. Meanwhile, the concept has reached a final stage. Renault will in fact present its hydrogen car on May 19th at ChangeNOW 2022.
This is the largest world event dedicated to the planet and will take place in Paris from May 19th to 21st. A perfect setting for introducing a new model which, according to the brand, embodies the group’s vision and commitment to sustainable development.
The concept car a idrogeno l‘ha announced in preview Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group, during the presentation of the results of the financial year 2021. Now comes the world premiere that will be announced on May 19th at ChangeNOW. For this occasion the brand will hold a press conference from 09:00, accessible via the website www.events.renault.com.

This new model is part of the plan to produce only electric models in 2030although in this case it is a car hydrogen. But from her, always on the subject of eco-sustainability, it should be emphasized that it is made with recycled and recyclable materialsto highlight progress in the circular economy.
We will therefore have to wait until May 19 to find out all the details of this hydrogen car. Everything indicates that it will not be a hybrid vehicle, but powered by a combustion engine which, however, is powered by hydrogen. This should offer the feel of a heat engine, but with very low emissions.
Not much is known about the car’s appearance, beyond what was seen in the teaser shown in February. From this it seems that the new car inherits the design of the Renault 5 Prototype, with a fully faired grille, straight lines and a compact shape.
