Resident Evil Village is the latest chapter in one of the hottest horror sagas in recent years, but apparently, putting it on the Xbox Game Pass was no small mistake.
Fans from all over the world, especially those from parts of Warsaw and its surroundings, were quite surprised to see that Resident Evil Village (here’s our in-depth review) is appeared briefly on the Polish Xbox Store thus making it available for Xbox Game Pass. But, guess what, apparently it was a mistake! So let’s try to understand each other a little better.
Resident Evil Village: After the error comes the fix
The question concerning the presence of Resident Evil Village on Xbox Game Pass seems to have been “resolved”once again, come on Twitter. Here it was Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb himself who made it clear on how a mistake was made by adding that the game has been removed and, at the moment, bringing it to Game Pass is not on the agenda for the future.
In short, a great blunder, no doubt about it! We also remember that, before the actual launch of the game last year, it had already been debated whether to include it within the Game Pass and Stadia Pro subscriptions by putting everything in black and white.
This was an error with how a discount for the title was displayed in the Microsoft Store and has since been corrected. There are no current plans to bring Resident Evil Village to Game Pass

According to one clausein fact, the game should have been present in digital format only one year after the release of the game and not before. But now the ball passes to the Capcom (also famous for the Street Fighter saga, Ghosts’ n Goblins and many others that we all know well) and we hope it can “fix” to this error as soon as possible. For the moment, “settle for” playing it in a traditional way on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Google Staff and PC.
