Top 10 of the best films of the year according to Rotten Tomatoes unveiled. For now, the list is provisional as more reviews are on the way that could skew the result
Also this year iThe Rotten Tomatoes website unveiled the top ten films of the year. On several occasions, the aggregator of votes found himself at the center of controversy for the manipulation of votes on some films. Now that the film year is about to end, the ranking of the best films of 2021 is calculated based on critical ratings.
The votes of the top critics and critics indicate how many of them gave a positive review (fresh), how many gave a negative review (rotten), the number of total reviews and the average rating in tenths.
The site actually it consists of three total votes that then, matched up, make up the overall judgment: that of critics, that of top critics and that of the public. The final overall votes of each of the three categories are expressed as a percentage of favorable votes. To obtain an overall positive evaluation, a film must receive a positive evaluation from more than half of the critics and viewers who have seen it.
However the votes of the critics and the public are independent: a film can get a negative opinion from critics but still be appreciated by the public or vice versa.
However, this year’s Rotten Tomatoes top 10 includes a wide variety of blockbusters, documentaries and indie films demonstrating just how much this 2021 had to offer cinema fans of all kinds.
There are still work-in-progress reviews yet to come for some of the films on this list, so until December 31st the top 10 may undergo some changes.
