After Risky’s Revenge and Pirate’s Curse, the original Shantae for Game Boy Color is making its return to Nintendo Switch… this month!

This follows the announcement of the two sequels, Risky’s Revenge for Nintendo DSi and Pirate’s Curse for 3DS, on the same hybrid platform as the Grande N. Again, as has already happened in the past, the development team WayForward he did not limit himself to reviving his excellent debut on the scene: this journey into the maze of memory will be equipped with all the necessary options.
The original Shantae on Nintendo Switch is good to hurt
Half-genius girl Shantae made her original game debut on Game Boy Color in 2002, which unlike Nintendo Switch was at the end of its life cycle. It is no coincidence, therefore, that the progenitor of one of the most peculiar metroidvania series boasts a “improved mode for the Game Boy Advance”Which lightens the color scheme and adds an extra transformation to the heroine. The management of powerups, if you are not familiar with the colorful WayForward saga, consists of various transformations that allow the protagonist to take advantage of the skills of the most disparate animals.
The trailer above also reveals the release date of this new digital version, which will arrive on eShop in just ten days. Unless you have made yours the Game Boy Color cartridge published by Limited Run Games, therefore, mark the April 22 on calendars: at the end of the month this title will be reunited with the rest of the family. This re-edition, in fact, makes the Grande N hybrid console the only ad platform host the series in its entirety.
