The State of Play you don’t expect: there is the scent of Horizon Forbidden West in the air, thanks to the latest rumor by Jeff Grubb
There is no summer without a rain of rumor, and in the post-E3 that tries to anticipate the times on the next conferences we have a new indiscretion about Horizon Forbidden West and a hypothetical appearance to the next State of Play. Of course we wouldn’t be reporting something to take with a grain of salt if we didn’t have a good source to report. Precisely for this reason he comes back to our rescue Jeff Grubb, who recently talked about Xbox and its plans with dragons and mature fantasy. The expectations, at least in the context of the news, will be narrow, but not those for the game itself.
Horizon Forbidden West at the next State of Play: so many rumors about nothing?
According to the rumor, the next State of Play would be very close: we could hear about Horizon Forbidden West already at September. The insider claims to have “heard”, however, that the game itself will make us wait much longer. This is nothing less than a postponement to 2022, but if (and only if) this rumor turns out to be founded, Sony could at least already formalize the postponement with the presentation. The month of September would be congenial to at least put the marketing campaign at the starting blocks. However, although more officially than what we have just reported on Abandoned, we need to make a clarification.
In fact, in the comment to the post above, Grubb used his Reddit account to specify that no, the news is not yet 100% confirmed. If nothing else, however, Sony’s absence at E3 2021 makes every opportunity to make your fans participate in the future of the console (or whatever). Despite the many blue rabbits in Sony’s hat, even Nintendo could extract its own in September: in fact, we recently reported another rumor about the next one. Nintendo Direct, of which we have received a suspiciously high number of details. If the rumors are both true, we really should be bracing ourselves for a fiery autumn!
