During DC Fandome 2021, Warner Bros and Rocksteady Studios showed the story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
After numerous rumors, the new title of Rocksteady, the creators of the acclaimed Arkham series, has turned out to be a third-person action shooter dedicated to the anti-heroes of the Suicide Squad. Announced during the summer of last year, we already knew Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would take the stage of DC Fandome 2021, the international event dedicated to fans of DC productions. And so it was actually, considering that nothing less than a really interesting story trailer came from the stage of the event and that gives us hope for the good intentions of the title.
The trailer sheds light on origins of the ignoble Task Force X (i.e., the Suicide Squad) by Amanda Waller exactly as Harley Queen, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark begin their mission: to defeat DC’s strongest Super Heroes, the Justice League. In a gigantic Metropolis, which is the backdrop to the open-world of Kill the Justice League, the title of Rocksteady will put us in front of a original and unpublished screenplay. At the command of the four DC Super-Villains, we will face an alien invasion and the now contaminated DC Super Heroes who are determined to destroy the city they once swore to protect. All this, also paying close attention to the lethal explosive systems that they have placed in their heads and that could be activated when they decide to rebel. What a beautiful situation.
