Netflix reveals other new unpublished images from the first part of the sixth and final season of The Crown, which will be available on Netflix in two parts: the first (episodes 1-4) on November 16, 2023 and the second (episodes 5-10) on the 14th December 2023. The first part of the new season describes the beginnings of the relationship between Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed before a fateful car ride has tragic consequences.
The Crown 6: new images and comments from the actors!
Speaking about his starring role this season, Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana) says:
I think it’s a very unique challenge as an actress, portraying those days. I really trusted the project that Peter created on an emotional level. It’s his interpretation of him and I think it made sense to me. Because, obviously, it’s tragic and devastating and we will never fully know how things happened.
Both Dominic West (Prince Charles) and Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth II) approached their characters this season with ease and understanding. Imelda Staunton dice:
I’ve been living with her for a long time, so if anything, I felt more comfortable this time. I love her stillness and her ability to not be shocked by everything that has happened around her, throughout her life.
Dominic West says about Prince Charles:
I think you feel real sadness and real compassion and what’s great about The Crown is that it gives you a chance to see these public figures in the private sphere. I suspect that in private Carlo is quite emotional, that’s how I interpreted him… I think, or rather I hope, that the result demonstrates sensitivity while maintaining a certain balance. I talked to many people who met him. He has met so many, probably more than anyone except the Queen and Prince Philip. Almost everyone has extremely warm and kind things to say about him.
Salim Daw is thrilled to play Mohamed Al Fayed:
I love this character. I love him so much and enjoy playing him. This season, he’s so human and multifaceted. Sometimes he’s tough, very tough, sometimes funny, like a child – with his son he’s sometimes very strict, but he has a lot of love for him and the audience will notice it.
E Khalid Abdulla regarding the role of Dodi Al Fayed, he says:
It was an honor to have been involved in this project, to be part of The Crown and to play Dodi.
The synopsis is as follows:
A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before the tragic accident. Prince William tries to reintegrate into life at Eton College after his mother’s death as the monarchy must ride the wave of public opinion. As her Golden Jubilee approaches, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy, which will see the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginning of a new royal fairy tale between William and Kate.
