The Elder Scrolls VI: the game is still a long way off

To see The Elder Scrolls VI release, the wait seems to be still very long, according to some leaks that show the state of production of the game

After being acquired by Microsoft, Bethesda continued to work on several works previously announced. The director and founder of the software house Todd Howard would be concentrating in a much more detailed way on Starfield, and in these months some video diaries have been released for reveal the background regarding the production of the game. In one way or another, there have therefore been several occasions to get to know this new effort of the studio, which should (hopefully) officially present itself in the hands of gamers this fall.

Conversely, while Skyrim was revived last year with a version celebrating its 10th anniversary, no details are yet known about The Elder Scrolls VI, despite some time having passed since its announcement. However, a new leak recently posted on Twitter it could show the real status of the game, including among other things the concrete possibility of a still very distant release of The Elder Scrolls VI.

The Elder Scrolls VI release and the state of the game

Obviously, since these are speculations and not official news, it will be necessary to remain extremely cautious in assessing the veracity of the rumors spread in the last few hours. Still, considering how this new chapter of The Elder Scrolls has been announced six years ago, not having any news about how the creation of the game is progressing generates quite understandable anxiety among fans. Also, you have to take into account how Todd Howard has stated in the past that Bethesda was extremely focused on Starfield, and that after it there would be time to think about The Elder Scrolls VI. For this reason, it would not be so strange to find that the gameor is still quite far away.

And the new leak confirms this hypothesis: a user on Twitter has in fact shared an image that shows the Linkedin page of Fanny Manset, Bethesda Game Studios’ HR Generalist and Special Pojects. Within his profile, there is a description regarding The Elder Scrolls VI, which reveals how the game still stands in a state of “pre-production”. This is not a strictly specific term, as its meaning varies widely depending on the game and the developer, but what can be deduced with certainty is that The Elder Scrolls VI is currently in a conceptualization phase, and therefore still very far from the release of the game. It is hoped, then, that, after the release of Starfield, the production of the title will start at full capacity.
