The Intelligent Speed Assistance system becomes mandatory for all new models making their debut in Europe
The Intelligent Speed Assistance system connects to the camera and the front radar (sensors used for the recognition of road signs and for other functions such as cruise control) and is able to set a limit to the speed of the vehicle. The system can warn the user, for example with an acoustic signal, that the speed limit has been exceeded. It should be noted that the ISA is also able to reduce the speed of the vehicle, adjusting it to the limits.
Mandatory for all vehicles from 2024

Manufacturers introducing new cars in the near future will therefore be required to include Intelligent Speed Assistance as standard equipment. Starting in 2024insteadISA will be mandatory for all cars on the market (also for models presented before 6 July 2022) which must include the device in the standard equipment.
