For the World day against bullying and cyberbullying which is celebrated annually on February 7thWanted Cinema is pleased to release the Italian trailer of The Pact of Silence – Playground.
The film is the work of Laura Wandel, who deals with telling the story of school bullying. The touch adopted by the Belgian director is delicate, but firm at the same time.
The Pact of Silence – Playground, is arriving on March 2 distributed by Wanted Cinema. The film has already collected warm welcomes in various international festivals with as many awards such as the Fipresci Award for Best Film at Cannes 2021 and the recent nomination to the Academy Awards 2023 representing Belgium.
The plot of The Pact of Silence – Playground
The plot of the film revolves around Noraan introverted seven-year-old girl who, just arrived in elementary school he witnesses some episodes of bullying against his older brother Abel.
The little girl, feeling responsible for what happened, tries to get the attention of the teachers and her father, but her brother keeps everything secret so as not to suffer further retaliation from his classmates.
The only way out that the boy will find to escape this situation will be to use the same behaviors of his captorswhich is why he will turn from victim to perpetrator.
Caught in a conflict of loyalties, Nora will have to search on her own to find her place in a new environmentin which it will be divided between the adult world and that of children.
An investigation into the world of school bullying
The Covenant of Silence – Playground will be available in Italian theaters on March 2, played by two very young newcomers, Maya Vanderbeque and Günter Duret, is a real investigation into the world of school bullying. It is a precious film for everyone: parents, teachers and children.
