In these years, between robots and electric brooms, innovative methods to keep our homes clean have not been lacking, but an electric floor washer is something truly new and potentially truly revolutionary. Because the floors, since we remember, have always been washed with a classic mop and the ever-present elbow grease, but the music is about to change.

Let’s find out more!

Design

From a design point of view, we are dealing with an electric floor cleaner by 25.4 x 27.94 x 114.3 cm in size and 5KG in weight. It is a more demanding volume than a classic vacuum cleaner but everything is justified by the presence of two water tanks.

The device is characterized by a single block containing the motor and the brush and by a handle to hook. The style is quite classic without any type of squiggles or noteworthy elements preferring a elegant minimalism both in design and in the gray color that is repeated throughout the device. Plastic and metal are the masters and each element is characterized by an excellent yield of materials. Two 1L water tanks are hooked to the central body, one for clean water and one for dirty water which will also collect dust. Thanks to one filter plate installed in the center of the container of waste, liquids and solids will be separated automatically making waste disposal easier and cleaner.

Inside the package, in addition to the electric floor cleaner, we find: the charging base, the handle, two brush rollers, two HEPA filters, a charging adapter, the cleaning solution e an instruction manual.

Technology

proscenic washvac F20

The Proscenic WashVac F20 cordless aspirator uses a suction power of 15KPa to be able to collect all the dirt on the floor, even the most stubborn. There roller brush it uses a compact design to cover a large surface area and is able to effectively remove stains without damaging floors. Multi-surface cleaning allows it to adapt to all types of hard floors such as wood, tiles, vinyl, marble and so on.

To get the most out of cleaning, the Proscenic WashVac F20 uses an infrared sensor on the main head which allows it to intelligently detect liquid spills and dry dirt so as to automatically adjust not only the suction intensity but also the quantity of water to be released. Obviously we will be able to independently select the cleaning modes thanks to a large and intuitive LED screen placed on top. From here we will have all the useful information available such as battery life, active mode and any anomalies. Thanks to the push of a button we will also be able to change cleaning mode depending on our needs. A voice (in Italian) will notify us of any changes.

Particularly interesting is the self-propelled scrubber cleaner design when it’s in operation. A particular drive mechanism allows the wheels to turn automatically making it much easier and lighter to move it around by accident greatly reducing our fatigue. We find great versatility in the field autonomy that thanks to one 4000mAh removable battery guarantees up to 45 minutes of autonomy. Obviously the duration depends on the different modalities that are used.

The charging base

Honorable mention goes to the charging base. Although with a simple and minimalist design (also totally gray) the base allows not only to recharge the Proscenic WashVac F20 but also to sterilize and dry the brush after each use. It is an introduction as simple as it is effective which guarantees self-cleaning of the brush.

Our test of the Proscenic WashVac F20

Proscenic WashVac F20 review

We tested the Proscenic WashVac F20 on the whole house so that we could really understand how an electric scrubber works and its usefulness. Let’s start right away by saying that the weight, let’s remember 5KG and the dimensions, shouldn’t scare you. It is a mass increase, compared to the classic electric brooms, due given the presence of the two water tanks (which still increase the weight) but thanks to the self-propelled design, you will not have any trouble dragging it around the house. Indeed, despite the size, the Proscenic WashVac F20 moves in an extremely agile way thanks also to an articulated head and an inclination angle that reaches up to 140°.

The suction is excellent and its power puts it on the same level, if not beyond, that of other electric brooms with the advantage of washing. We still don’t have a part of the device that applies real pressure to the floor which makes it difficult to get rid of the toughest stains but the rotation of the roller comes to our rescue. As the “3-in-1” told us, the Proscenic WashVac F20 washes, vacuums and dries at the same time which enormously reduces the time and effort that would otherwise be due to us with the classic washing methods. Honestly, since we got our hands on this fantastic product, we haven’t picked up the mop and bucket anymore, avoiding all the trouble they bring with them.

In this regard, a praise must be made to ability of the device to separate solid waste from liquids. Our main concern was to work on a waste tank where dirty water and dust came together in a riot of notable disgust. But the separation grid works perfectly and a simple pass under running water is enough to get rid of any residue. A surprise that really left us satisfied.

The Proscenic WashVac F20 review in a nutshell

The main doubts we had about an electric scrubber cleaner that sucks up liquids and solids at the same time have already been eradicated by a few uses. To write the review of this Proscenic WashVac F20 we put it to the test but it has always managed to get away with leaving a shiny floor behind. Cleaning has lived up to expectations and the battery life has always been more than enough to clean our house (about 80m2) with a single charge. Added to this is also the support of the Proscenic application to monitor the consumption of the accessories and any problems.

In short, the Proscenic WashVac F20 has really proved to be a noteworthy product and a perfect ally for daily cleaning. Icing on the cake? A absolutely competitive cost of approximately € 399.99 which guarantees excellent value for money.
