The fifth and final season of the anime series The Seven Deadly Sins – intitolata Dragon’s Judgement – is available from today, June 28, in the Netflix catalog.
After obvious drops in quality and consequent production problems, fans will finally be able to enjoy the series finale. For the occasion, the synopsis official:
To undo the curse that weighs more and more on Elizabeth, Meliodas has decided to become the king of demons. For this, he allies himself with his brothers to recover and absorb all the precepts of the Ten Commandments.
Elizabeth, totally opposed to this plan, escapes and rises to the command of the Seven Deadly Sins to thwart the plans of her beloved. Ludociel, therefore, together with the archangels proposes to recreate Stigma and start a new Holy War, thus threatening the peace that has lasted for 3000 years …
The Seven Deadly Sins – Where Did We Stay?
The story then continues to follow the adventures of the Seven Deadly Sins. Once considered among the most powerful knights of Britain, each represent one of the seven deadly sins, due to a fault committed by them in the past. However, the group was disbanded after apparently conspiring to overthrow the kingdom of Lionesse, killing Zaratras, the Great Sacred Knight. Following the betrayal, they were defeated by the Holy Knights of the kingdom. The seven then dispersed, fleeing due to the bounties on their heads. With the passing of time, therefore, the rumors that they were still alive became more and more insistent.
Ten years later, the Holy Knights – following a coup d’état and the capture of the king – become the new tyrannical rulers of the country. Elizabeth, the youngest daughter of the king, can not help but escape from the castle to go in search of the Seven Deadly Sins, in the hope that they are really still alive and are willing to help her.
The fifth season will then put an end to the main storyline. But the saga will be definitively concluded by the film The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light, which follows a completely new story, which takes place after the events of the new and latest installments.
The film will be released in Japanese theaters on July 2nd.
