Finally, tonight there will be the departure for the 21st edition of the Trieste Science + Fiction Festival, one of the most important Italian events dedicated to science fiction and all the declinations of the fantastic and will continue until November 3, closing day.

This year the festival has chosen to have a hybrid mode of participation, that is, both online and live and will be hosted by three different cinemas: the Politeama Rossetti and the Ariston Cinema in Trieste and the SciFiClub Web Room, the permanent streaming platform curated by Science + Fiction on MYmovies, one of the leading sites in Italy in cinematic information.

The program of the evening

Qhis inauguration evening will be held starting at 20:00 at Politeama Rossetti: after the typical opening ceremony, the opening film of the 21st edition, The Last Journey by Romain Quirot with Jean Reno, will be screened as an Italian preview, a French science fiction work that deals with important environmental issues, much debated in our historical period.

The evening will continue at 10:30 pm with the preview of Danis Goulet’s Night Raiders with Amanda Plummer, also available on the SciFiClub streaming platform on MYmovies: an all-female dystopian drama that stages resilience, courage and love.

The organization

The Trieste Science + Fiction was organized by La Cappella Underground, and has the opportunity to bring to the Julian capital and on the web for the second consecutive year, the best productions of the fantasy, science fiction and dystopian genre and to explore all the interpretations of the fantastic with several guests and orOver 40 world, international and national film premieres including films, shorts and documentaries and even three main competitions: the Asteroide Prize and the two Méliès d’argent competitions of the MIFF, the Méliès European Federation of Fantastic Film Festivals (Méliès International Festivals Federation).

Finally, the Spazio Italia section collects the best of the underground of Italian fantastic cinema.
