The US accelerates on electric cars

KIEV, UKRAINE – Dec 08, 2015: Vice president of USA Joseph Biden during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Kiev

Among the plans of the Biden administration, in the US, there is the will to continue investing in electric cars. To make the transition to zero-emission mobility sustainable, however, it is essential to be able to count on recharging stations spread throughout the country. The new plan of the American government foresees a maxi investment to achieve these objectives.

The US will invest $ 900 million for electric car charging stations

As part of a very large investment program, the United States is preparing to invest $ 900 million to build electric car charging stations in 35 states. This is a new step forward to achieve the electrification goals of the four-wheeler sector.

Note that Biden has long pointed the US government towards electric cars. According to the President’s directives, in fact, by 2027, the US administration will have to buy only electric cars or plug-in hybrids.

In the meantime, also thanks to discussed car incentives (which almost exclusively support models produced in the United States), the spread of electric cars continues to be supported. The construction of a capillary charging network is a confirmation of this trend.
